Imagine my surprise when I was asked to go downstairs and photograph a pair of pink and blue Defender 90 Tdi’s fresh from the UK. What? Pink and Blue, gesh. I grabbed the Olympus DSLR and trucked outside for some fresh Vermont air. I love taking photos anyway.
Rovers North was visited this week by the Jack Wills University Outfitters crew [www.jackwills.com ]. They were taking a short break from their ‘busy social calender’ Seasonnaires East Coast College Tour to purchase some Land Rover Genuine Parts for one of the Defenders.
Sporting a cheeky pink and blue corporate scheme, their “Fabulously British” look was all the rage on this stop. On their way to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory in Waterbury, VT why not drop in to Rovers North for a quick chat and proper parts? The rear of the Defenders were filled with nifty little fashion handbooks geared towards college kids. Great, my 12 year old daughter will love this handbook I thought. She hasn’t put it down yet.
We couldn’t let the crew leave empty handed and offered some Rovers North hats in black and red trim. If you happen to see these twin Defenders tooling down the interstate [you can't miss them], offer a wave and see if you can stop the pair for a handbook or two, I’m sure they will agree.
