Land Rover North America announced that the 2012 Range Rover Evoque was named Autoweek’s “Best of Best” truck for 2011. This marks the second year Autoweek has named its “Best of Best” — vehicles that best exemplify the pinnacle of automotive perfection – from the perspective of the automotive enthusiast.

Land Rover announced today that the all-new 2012 Range Rover Evoque has been named Crossover Car of the Year by Bloomberg News. The 2012 Range Rover Evoque was reviewed by Bloomberg News’ Automotive Critic, Jason Harper, to determine the best drives of 2011.

“It is a great honor for the all-new Range Rover Evoque to be named the Crossover Car of the Year by Bloomberg News,” said Kim McCullough, Brand Vice President, Land Rover North America. “The Range Rover Evoque targets a new generation of modern-day, brand enthusiasts. Land Rover’s DC100 and DC100 Sport concepts investigate the potential design direction for a replacement for the iconic Defender. They will make their North American debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show on 16th November 2011. Land Rover is taking these concepts to North America to gauge reaction and explore the possibility of bringing the Defender back to the US market.

Today (November 10, 2011) Land Rover’s DC100 concept makes its Middle Eastern Debut at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show. The DC100 concept explores the possible design and technological direction of the new Defender.

MAHWAH, N.J., September 28, 2011 – Jaguar Land Rover collected two 2011 Motorist Choice Awards awarded by notable automotive industry research companies, IntelliChoice and AutoPacific. The Land Rover LR4 was the 2011 Motorist Choice winner in the Active Lifestyle category, and the all-new Jaguar XJ was the 2011 Motorist Choice winner in the Luxury Lifestyle category.

The grueling Dakar Rally is about to get a heavy dose of style. A team from Britain is finalizing plans to enter the newly-launched 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque in the 2013 Dakar Rally, which takes place in South America.

According to J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM released today, Jaguar and Land Rover brands rank among the top five nameplates, both with improved scores for 2011. Jaguar ranks 2nd among nameplates for the fourth year in a row with a score of 857; while Land Rover ranks 4th among nameplates, up from 5th last year, with an overall score of 841. Land Rover’s Range Rover is the award recipient for Large Premium Crossover/SUV, two years in a row.
