Fits all civilian 88 models, both Left and Right hand drive. Hot dipped galvanized for superior long term corrosion resistance. This chassis is built to our favorite spec which incorporates a lot of the later improvements made by Land Rover. Perfect for owners who plan on keeping their 88 long term. This 88 chassis features the later style hand brake mounting bracket so there are no mounting holes passing through the bottom of the chassis rails. Plus it uses the later style front brake line mounting brackets for improved brake line routing. Both these features became standard on all Land Rover 88 chassis from Series IIA Suffix C on. This chassis is a direct replacement for all civilian negative earth 88 models from 1967 to 1984. Will also fit Series II 1959 -1961 by updating hand brake relay shaft to later type (or you can order our Series II 88 chassis PLE4162). Extra features on this chassis include: Reinforced front horns, auxiliary fuel tank outrigger, left and right hand exhaust mounts, OEM suspension bushings and a removable, bolt-on gearbox cross member. Made for Rovers North in the UK .

FITS: All Civilian 88 models from Series IIA Suffix C 1967 - Series III 1984

NOTE: Also correctly fits Series II 1959 - Series IIA Suffix B 1966 by fitting the later type shaft for the hand brake relay lever RNC507, washers RNC508, RNC511 and lock nut RNE477. This is required because instead of the Ser. II style shaft that uses sandwich brackets that bolt through the chassis, the later style simply bolts to a bracket that is part of the chassis. You will also need to fit the later Series IIA front brake pipes RNB656 and RNC553 because the chassis brackets where these pipes adjoin the front flex hoses are located differently. Should you prefer an actual replica Series II chassis 1959-1961 use PLE4162. For Series IIA 1962-1964 use PLE416IIA. For Series IIA Military chassis use PLE416M. For Series IIA-III Military Airportable (Lightweight) use RNS785. These are available by special order.

Shipping charges will not appear during checkout. You will be contact prior to shipping with final costs.

We highly recommend replacing the steering relay while replacing the chassis.
