When marrying the 10r80 to the Ecoboost there is a small gap left open at the front of the transmission housing. Some shops and builders choose to leave this open but we feel it's better closed up. We designed this cover by taking 3d scans of the motor for a precise fit, and manufactured it in house. Application of a bead of RTV to this piece prior to installation is recommended for the best seal.
