Left and Right front Defender seat assembly pair in Camel Vinyl trim with heaters installed by Exmoor Trim. The Classic Standard Defender Front Seat was Land Rover’s first truly adjustable seats that came into use following on from the many years of production of the more basic flat style series seats.

The Classic front seats offered the driver and passengers a far superior comfort level and now with their adjustment in the seat back angle and a adjustable headrest as an “optional extra” of course this forms part of the seats supplied now regardless. 

The seat squab could be adjusted to any angle, which gave you for the fist time the ability to tailor the rake of the seat back to the individual, instead of simply resting on the bulkhead as with the earlier series seats. 

These seats are far sturdier than the preceding series seats and with high quality seat sliders and runners the seats became a far superior product all round. the seat could now easily be moved forward and backwards with a simple lift arm under the front of the seat cushion as you expect to find in most vehicles of this era.  

To compliment this the seat basses were also removable and simply located into the rear of the seat frame and then snap locked into the front of the seat runners making it easy to access the under seat storage compartment and battery location. 

This Classic style stayed in production from approx 1986 right through until 2007 when the seats were then upgraded again.

 Both seat backs and bases are heated internally and the heater wiring all clips together so you can still remove the seat bases when required. Many of the earlier vehicles never had seat heaters fitted so we also include with all our Classic Defender seats as standard with a full wiring loom for the seat heaters. These also give illuminating heater switches so you can control both seats individually with a hi & low heat option and the wiring loom includes the inline fuses a wiring instruction.

A higher grade foam than originally is used to increase the life span of these seats and much improved levels of comfort. All coming together to give a great pair of Classic Seats by Exmoor.
