THIS IS A NON-GALVANIZED, BARE STEEL CHASSIS
Replacement for 300Tdi Defender 110 with rear mounted steel fuel tank. OEM Marsland center seam manufactured. Not to be confused with aftermarket replacement chassis, this is a complete upgrade, offering the latest in chassis structural technology from Land Rover for owners who want to improve their Defender chassis. Stronger, with reinforced bulkhead outriggers and body mounts. Safer, with improved crash performance. Rear cross member features integral fixing nuts for tow and recovery equipment with recessed mounting point for towing plug so it is no longer exposed underneath. Chassis includes gearbox cross member and adjustable rear body mounting bracket. Made in the UK.
This OEM Marsland chassis was manufactured on the same Land Rover tooling as a genuine chassis. Not to be confused with an aftermarket chassis, which will not have the same level of dimensional accuracy, strength, and is not crash compliant. In fact, all aftermarket chassis are completely hollow on the inside. Only Genuine and OEM Marsland Defender chassis main rails are constructed from two C sections that are reinforced above the axles and suspension outriggers. Each section is also cross-baffled for improved strength and crash worthiness before being welded together. This is why only the Genuine and OEM Marsland chassis main rails are center seam welded. Beyond superior strength and rigidity, this internal reinforcement is engineered to prevent intrusion of the steering column and front radius arms into the occupant area upon frontal impact, protection simply not possible with an aftermarket chassis.
